Sakura in Tokyo

Tokyo

Lots of cherry blossoms infront of the Yasukuni shrine

Sakura, hanami and interactive art in Tokyo.
End of March the sakura (cherry blossom) and hanami (cherry blossom viewing) time in Tokyo starts. My Japanese office friends took me to the best spot around the Meguro river to enjoy hanami. It is amazing how big sakura and hanami are here in Japan. This is part of what I love about the Japanese. They enjoy simple things in life with their full heart and don’t take those things for granted - gratefulness and modesty.
Other than doing hanami around the Meguro river and the Yasukuni shrine, I’ve also visited TeamLab Boarderless. This is a special art museum where you can interact with the art. I am not so much into art at all, however this museum is so popular among Japanese and tourists that I visited anyways. And I was very positively suprised. It was extremely unique and exciting.
Hope you are having a good time.
